SUPERVISED DOCTOR PROGRAM

FOR SUPERVISORS

Creating Recruitment Pipelines & Forging Relationships

Recruiting General Practitioners in Australia is a challenge- there aren't enough to go around. However; our team has developed a program that ensures you get a consistent pipeline of candidates to work in your clinic and the financial investment won't break the bank!

The answer? Securing placements for International Medical Graduates who will work under the Supervision of your Fellowed GP, for an minimum placement period 12 months.

AM I ELIGIBLE?

You'll need:

  • Be a DPA location; or have multiple sites*

  • Have a minimum of 1 Doctor who holds Specialist AHPRA Registration

  • Your Supervisor will need to have held General and/or Specialist for 3+ years in Australia

  • Your Supervisor must be onsite 100% of the time the IMG is working

*If you are a Non DPA, individual practice then please contact our team and we can build a network for you.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The process takes on average between 6 - 9 months.

  • 2 - 4 months to obtain a PESCI date and completed your PESCI

  • 3 months to obtain your AHPRA registration

  • 4 weeks to obtain your Medicare Provider Number

* Please note that if the IMG is an Australian Resident/Citizen, then they will require a 3GA program to be able to access Medicare. The program we recommend to commence under until they join a GP training program is MDRAP. Be aware that each state has different processes and processing times. For example, the average time to process MDRAP in Victoria is 3 months, where as the time to process MDRAP in QLD is 1 week.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS?

The costs are dependent based on what the Doctor requires. The Doctor will be required to pay for their PESCI fee, AHPRA application and registration fees as well as any migration fees. You may choose to cover these fees for them.

Our team will support you by providing administrative services in preparing your PESCI, AHPRA and Medicare paperwork. We have a qualified Migration Lawyer to support your visa needs.

Our administrative and migration services do come at a cost, which may be covered by you or the IMG. We'll get your preference before you start the program with us, and we will match you with a suitable IMG accordingly.

You'll be provided a full cost breakdown before you officially interview any candidate.
